NBBE Consulting's Perliter Walters-Gilliam Named To International Governing Board Of Uzbekistan's National Quality Assurance Agency For Education

NBBE Consulting is pleased to share that President and Principal Consultant Perliter Walters-Gilliam has joined the International Governing Board of Uzbekistan's National Quality Assurance Agency for Education (NQAAE), operating under the administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Board convenes globally recognized leaders in quality assurance and education to support NQAAE's mission of advancing quality assurance, accreditation, and educational excellence across all levels of education in Uzbekistan. The appointment extends NBBE's international practice into Central Asia, joining active engagements across Europe, the Caribbean, Latin America, and West Africa.

NBBE Consulting (Nuts & Bolts Business Enterprises, Inc.), a higher education accreditation and institutional quality consulting firm, announced today that its President and Principal Consultant, Perliter Walters-Gilliam, has been named a Member of the International Governing Board of the National Quality Assurance Agency for Education (NQAAE), which operates under the administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The International Governing Board convenes international experts in education, science, quality assurance, accreditation, governance, and public policy to provide independent strategic guidance as NQAAE builds a transparent, credible, and innovative national quality assurance system. The Board meets at least quarterly and operates under governance principles of independence, transparency, objectivity, collegiality, integrity, international best practice, academic freedom, and prevention of conflicts of interest.

Walters-Gilliam joins fellow Board Members including Dr. Olgun Cicek, Board Director of the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) and NBBE's own European strategic partner, alongside leaders from the Asia-Pacific Quality Network, the Association of MBAs and Business Graduates Association, the UK's Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, the Hong Kong Council for Accreditation of Academic & Vocational Qualifications, the Turkish Higher Education Quality Council, and the Dutch Inspectorate of Education.

Established under the administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan in May 2025, NQAAE oversees quality assurance and accreditation across more than 1,400 educational institutions nationwide, spanning higher education, vocational and secondary specialized education, postgraduate programs, and professional development. The agency draws on a pool of more than 700 experts, nearly a third of them international, and holds full membership in the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE) and the Asia-Pacific Quality Network (APQN).
